Making The Swap PART 2
Well, it's done, I've finally made the switch and to be honest, I don't know why it was such a big deal. I suppose it's like so many things in life most of us are scared of the unknown or think the worst, when in fact the majority of the time it's not half as bad as we thought it would be. I do have to confess though I didn't go cold turkey. My first switch was from my original vegan, liquid shampoo in a plastic bottle to a vegan, liquid shampoo, Moo Hair, in a glass bottle. It is a lovely shampoo and I would highly recommend it to those who don't think they can do the bar. My hair looked and felt amazing after. This gave me the confidence to go that one step further and try the bar. I opted for Kind 2 separate Hydrate shampoo and conditioner as opposed to some that are the 2 in 1 shampoo and conditioner combined. I was very surprised that I was able to get a good lather with the shampoo bar. It did take a little extra time to feel that I'd covered my hair and scalp as I do have quite thick hair, but once I'd got it on it certainly did the job. It rinsed out very well with no stickiness that I read so much about. I then applied the conditioner. I found that harder as I couldn't really feel where it was going. When I rinsed it off I could immediately tell it had done a great job. My hair already felt softer and more manageable and then once I'd blow-dried it I could see it was just as good as my traditional liquid I'd been using, in fact, I even felt I had a little more body without the fizz.
I wish I'd done it sooner now.
So the moral of the story is, maybe don't do too much research before you try something new, sometimes your heart knows better than your head and yes you should join me and do it too.
